Going Against the Grain?
You can’t use a metal spoon on a non-stick pan. Or at least you shouldn’t.
Are you finding yourself going against the grain of what feels natural and right to you? Are you dealing with those who are making it their business to complicate their lives and the lives of others? If so, an energy check or possibly reality check is in order. When you find yourself dealing with others who upset the natural rhythm and flow of your life, then take it as a sign that the subsequent energy following them may not positively enhance your life.
We are always co-creating our reality which means we are contributing in part to what is happening to us. So when dealing with others and you feel the resistance build, deliberate decisions and action is needed. Clear vision and awareness is warranted. No room for wishful thinking or flights of fancy. Having a positive perspective is always good and a bit of fantasy is sometimes nice with the proper perspective. But as Maya Angelou’s saying goes and believe it folks, “Believe people when they show you who they are the first time”. Literally.
Be realistic about what you are seeing. And see it, as it really is verses how you want it be. As a deliberate co-creator you are responsible for what you are attracting and keeping in your life. That means, not being on auto-pilot, waiting for “something” to step in and save you, them or the situation or fix it to what you think works. Or worse, hoping that the individuals involved “change” their behavior or perspective about you. If you give to whims of fantasy and operate on auto-pilot then you are likely not to come even close to getting what you want or deserve.
Be grounded in where you are, be positive and deliberate in what you do. Choose to see through the façade that is present through the resistance that is felt and often not visibly shown. And most importantly, act on moving in the opposite direction of that resistance. Your well-being will be thank you for it.
